The last beautiful fall day

I wisely spent it in the Luxembourg gardens, taking in the gorgeous chrysanthemums.
As to be expected on a sunny Sunday afternoon, the park was full of people...
But I managed to snag one of those reclining green chairs by the fountain and sat in the sun and knit for a while.
A perfect Parisian afternoon...

Opéra Garnier

For the first time since 1994, I attended a spectacle at the Opera Garnier.

Franck and I surprised our friends Kristin and Mike by getting tickets to the ballet.
We were all baffled by the ballet itself, but it was enjoyable nonetheless, and we loved getting to see the inside of this beautiful building.

Parc Bercy

My cousin Maggie and her new husband Eric were in town a couple weeks ago. I only saw Eric for about 2 minutes before he had to play a tennis match (which I had to miss due to a rehearsal) but Maggie and I caught up over lunch and then took a stroll through the Parc Bercy.
These photos really do not capture how nice the park was with the late fall colors.
Maggie and I got to hang out again at the stade de Bercy watching tennis the following day.
I loved finally getting to meet up with you in Europe, Maggie!!! I hope you come back soon....
